I was always skinny but past the age of 20 i've been getting extra fat in the waist and middle chest area where in other areas i still am skinny. I'm 6' 1" at 170 lbs. My goal is to reduce fat in the waist area and just bulk up a bit in others. Now I've read the Bulking up thread, but my question is will that affect the fat in my waist area and whether I should be on a specific diet? Right now I do regular curls and I feel that muscles in that area are getting bigger but I've still got fat covering them.

One question, do you have lordosis?(Sp) It's a condition where your lower spine curves more inwards then normal, causing your front to stick out....

Most skinny guys will look like that when bulking, but it's not necessarily fat.

Your bulking, the amount of food you go through, your going to swell out, and a lot of people bloat because of some food not being digested.

If you're going to gain any fat, being a bloke most likely it will be your gut that shows first.

You should also do pilates type core exercises and vacumming. This will strengthen and tension the right muscles.

Accept you may look pot bellied for a month or two or take a less drastic route to muscle growth.

:( I think that's what I have. It looks like my a$$ is sticking out (only if i'm shirtless) and looks like I have a pot belly. I didn't even know it was a condition, is there any way to fix this?
