I just got done doing 5 weeks of Rippetoes program. On my last workout Friday, I benched 170, squatted 200 and deadlifted 225. I'm 6'4 25 yrs old and i weight 211 lbs. THe problem is I'm still kind of skinny but have a massive stomach. My friends always make jokes about it, and its very obvious when I sit down, and I always have to tuck it in when I'm standing up. I basically look pregnent, but when I tuck it in and flex my abs, I look like I have a 4 pack at least.

I dont eat too bad, normally my diet consists of egg and cheese sandwitch, yogurt with protein, protein bar, then maybe chicken breast and and potatoes or rice, a can of tuna and salad, 2 servings of fruit, a meal replacement drink, and a dinner of maybe rice and chicken or spaghetti and ground beef, and a protein shake at night.

What do you guys think is my best plan of action? I want to be ripped and big by the summer. Should I stick to rippetoes for now and keep getting fatter, then maybe try to cut down around april or may? or should I change programs to something less squat involved, so that I can do cardio on my off days, or something else.

Think you should be in the gym at least 4-5 times a week training. Then doing sprints/stead state cardio on off days.

joe defrancos upper/lower split is great. You focus on upper body one day and just lower another and shows you how to implement sprints and stuff into your week.

Yet if you want to get big as possible. I suggest you follow a bodybuilder split with steady state cardio on off days (small meal in stomach or quick shake beforehand) Cut off your carbs around 6 pm. Unless you train in the evening. Try tweaking your diet and keeping the majority of your carbs around workouts and instead implementing more good fats+veggies (olive oil, raw almonds/natural peanutbutter/avocados)

Peoples' bodies just store fat differently. Some people carry fat better than others. I don't carry it well at all, which is why I like maintaining a low body fat percentage.

Your diet is not horrible, but you can't compare yourself to "normal" people. The way most people eat is atrocious. If you want to burn off some of that fat, try cutting out processed carbs and sugar, and then picking up an activity you enjoy that involves good cardio, like boxing and fighting sports, raquetball, tennis, soccer...find something you like to do, and that will keep it from getting boring.
