I am interested in this girl who is very shy and timid. I have talked to her three times for about 2:00 minutes each time. Yesterday I asked her if I could call her sometime. She said that she didn't like to give her number out so I said ok. My question is should I keep talking to her and get to know her better and let her get to know me better and try again later, or should I just give up on her and move on? Any advice would be apprieciated.

No. in a hunt animals need to know when to hunt and when to pull it off... if they never pulled off a hunt (great whites), then they may get injured or too tired chasing that specimen they mix the better catch....

But i think you misread the post, he is infact not a homosexual and finds the girl attractive.

Thanks for the advice, but what I meant by the post was should I keep having small friendly conversations with this girl, not be intrusive, nosey or pushy, but show her that I mean her no harm but I am interested in her. I think the reason she said what she said was because she doesn't really know me. The way some people are I can understand that. she may have had a bad experiance with someone and thats why she said what she said. So that is what I was asking. Should I keep talking to her and show her that I am not a stalker or rapist, or should I quit

I agree with this, BUT, OP HAS to realize that you can't talk to her a ton and act like you're interested in being a friend, there has to be some sort of sexuality. You don't have to ask her out or get her number the first time you meet her, but you have to be building attraction BEFORE or DURING the time you're building rapport. Not after. But yes, you don't have to come on really strong when you know you'll see her often.

To OP, you didn't play this very well. You need to change your whole approach to this. You need to flirt with her for a few days, all the while building COMFORT AND ATTRACTION. And then after awhile get her number naturally, maybe because there's someplace cool you want her to go with you or something, you get the idea.
