Well, here's the situation, I found the MySpace of this hot girl from school named Marissa, who's MySpace just happens to contain her AIM address and I want to know, do you guys think I should IM her? We go to the same school, but she has no idea who I am and I don't want to seem like a stalker, by IMing her without introducing her to myself; the fact that my AIM is "XIXIoriYagamaXIX", doesn't help either.

For the threadstarter,no you shouldn't talk to her on IM.Why don't you just meet her in person,man?If you IM her she'll just think of you as some nerd who stumbles upon profiles and tries to hit girls.There would be a million mistakes made if you IM her before meeting her in person and getting acquainted.Also,she may give you a bad name with her girl-friends..'Hey this guy he talked to me on IM,but he doesnt know me.Weird guy!'

I know,talking to her on IM would make things seem easy for you..But you'll only be heading for one place from there on..Nowhere!

Hmm I've realized that all the girls that I have been really successful with don't have AIM. Coincidence? No. From now on I use AIM only for scheduling with my mates, no more giving out my screen name.

Never treat IM as your number. Not the same. 'Course you could use the IM as a backup if a girl wont leave you alone... "heres my AIM, now dont IM me" and make sure she cant get your number from someone else.
