I heard or read somewhere that shoes are one of the first thing women look at.

Now tell me, if I was to invest in only one pair of shoes... what kind of shoes would be best?

Yea that was in a sketchers commercial. Pretty good marketing. Ironically I have a pair of sketchers...

I don't know if it's true but it makes sense considering girls obsess over buying their own shoes all the time.

Ok really.... I like Johnson and Murphys, although the last pair I had cracked open at the cap, so idk anymore. Allen Edmonds look like amazing shoes, I want one of those. Either way, I usually stick to outlets and online sales to keep the costs down on the shoes, just find something you like.

I HIGHLY recommend having at least two pairs of nice shoes. Doesn't matter as long as it fits your style. Yes it isn't a myth women do care a lot about a guys shoes I've confirmed it with a lot of girls.

I think two things are equally important when considering any type of shoe: Comfortability and style. Nike's generally fit really well. You buy a pair and wear them out of the store and they feel like you've owned them for a year. I have a pair of Air Force One's in white with a black Nike logo. And for dress/regular shoes I have a pair of Bostonians that go well with jeans/khakis/suit jackets.

I wear a nice pair of Nike Shox with everything. they're nice enough that women will notice that, while being versatile enough that i can use them to unexpectedly participate in any activity that might come up.

I usually have a shoe for a different situation. One for working out, another for formal stuff, and another for like going out to something like causal and whatnot. My choice is a pair of Air Jordan's. I make sure I don't wear them that much so they don't get too dirty or break and stuff. However, they are comfortable and I like them.

I agree. Start out with buying a pair of chucks, and after that buy shoes that actually say something about you. If you want classy but easy, go with a pair of Chelsea Boots. If you feel like being a bit more preppy, go for loafers or the regular "costume shoes".

If you are more of a street guy, go to the local sneaker store and talk with the people there. Just be careful not to buy shoes that don't match your trousers; you don't want to be the guy with ultra-wide skate shoes and tight jeans. Bloody bricks.

Also, I've never been to America but I'd stay away from the regular nike runners and/or yellow boots (á Caterpillar). I've heard they're quite popular over there... ;)

You really can't go wrong here.

Pros:
Cheap
Match almost everything
Blend well with almost all types of jeans
Don't give anything away about you
Comfortable and light

Cons:
Not a long lifespan
Canvas can rip
understatement of the year. You can actually seem them break down while you're wearing them. I only bought mine less than 4 months ago and they're already damaged while I didn't do anything besides walking and running in them. They look like **** compared to my air forces which are more than 2 years old.

Shoes are badass, don't hate. I have a pink tshirt, eat on that ;)
Yes I winked at you, make sure your johnson didn't move since you're clearly worried about whether or not you're a homosexual.

Please point out where I said shoes weren't badass.

I like shoes and clothing a lot. I enjoy fashion as well. But I'd hardly consider talking about shoes in the Tips section a "tip". Shoes aren't going to get you laid or a relationship.

And dude, even most girls agree pink shirts on guys are pretty gay.
