she asked to call?

ok so me and this girl were gonna go out one friday night .. i told her where i was going and invited her along .. she said "yeah but call me a few hours before" ... i was like WTF? .. so lost .. but anyway i canceled that and took her out the next week, ... how would i have handled this situation?

In any case don't get over-analytical with stuff. Not every single thing she says is some kind of test.

yea it could mean alot of things but I think she wanted to make sure you call before ahead of time just to make sure something doesn't come up and she has to cancel...but atleast she didn't flake on you and went out w/ you the next week...
