This probably isn't the most appropriate place to be asking this question, but hey this is a forum full of guys so i'm sure someone knows the answer to this.
I'm a late bloomer (guilty) and i only started shaving regularly about a few months ago (im 16 btw). After i shave, i get these little bumps, similar to acne where the hair grows in. It usually goes away within a week or so, so i wait until they go away before shaving again. But lately they've been taking longer and longer to go away. Past two weeks sometimes! I can't just stop shaving either, because the hair is starting to come in thicker now. What can i do to get rid of these or stop them from appearing in the first place?

Try a product containing 2% salicylic acid. Also, shave with the grain and not against it.

I read somewhere about how to do a good shave job, it may have been here at sosuave.com but I dont remember.

1. Use very warm/hot water to open pores.
2. Lather up the shaving cream
3. Use sharp razor, preferably not a cheap disposable one. You are becoming a man and deserve better!
4. Rinse face with cold water to close pores but do not dry your face, allow the cold water to air dry which moistens your skin.

Remember, shave with the grain.

Ingrown hairs. Shaving "with" the grain, as mentioned above, helps tremendously, even though you will still have a "sandpaper" type feel.
