Hey guys,
I am wondering about couple things, so I'd be great if someone can satisfy my curiousity:
1) Can you drink too much water that your cells lyse?
2) Im currently drinking vitamin B in pills (I have mild acne which i almost got rid from, credit goes to jonwon ;-))and its 6 pills would it be absorbed better if i take it all at once or if take 2 x 3 times a day?
3) Do the vitamins in Vitamin Water absorbed well or is it just a marketing trick? Is it healthy at all?
4) I run track, so would more muscles decrease my speed? I need to run a mile below 5 min by mid march or april... just about 20 more seconds to cut!
5) And finally, I eat really healthy and only eat one unhealthy thing 5- 6 times a week (a slice of cake or couple cookies, no fast food or pop though)
can anybody give me some dietary guidelines on how to gain weight and still have energy to run?

Wow looks like a grocery list lol
Thanks to all who respond

I don't think so. The main danger of overconsumption of water is flushing all your electrolytes through urine/sweat. If you keep them balanced.. ie gatorade or powder packet additives when you have to drink a crapload of water, you should be fine.

It would be theoretically better to spread them out, if you don't mind the extra attention of having pill dates. Also if its acne all over your body, try tanning for 8-10 mins 2 - 3 times a week. really clears it up for most people.

It makes it easier to take them. Plus it absorbs it must faster. This happens in the intestine. It takes the stomach 10-20 mins to process liquids onward, whereas 3-4 hours for a stomach full of solids. (as far as small pills i dont know)

It depends on how much muscle were are talking. The guys in the NFL that run under 5 second 40yard dashes might not be huge by NFL standards, but they are seriously stacked. It just depends on how you condition those extra muscles, and what you are able to maintain.. being in track and all. Lots of cardio tends to burn muscle away.

Lots of good carbs. Like oatmeal or whole wheat bread/muffins. I usually have the most energy to run when I eat a bunch of carbs like 4-6 hours prior to exercise. If you are trying to stay lean.. eat your carbs earlier in the day. And of course eat lots of protein.

you can definitely drink too much water, but you generally have to try pretty hard. typically your brain is the first thing to be affected, though if electrolytes are too far diluted this can produce a heart attack. I've only heard of the latter happening when a hospital screws up with an IV, etc. The rest of the cases resulting in fatalities have people drinking too much while running or otherwise exerting themselves in heat and overcompensating with too much straight water, or the result of dares/hazing gone horribly wrong:

Vitamin water is NOT good for you. It is loaded with bad sugar that will just make you fat. Drink regular water. Take a multi-vitamin (A good one - I recommend Ecogreen), and eat plenty of vegetables. You'll get more vitamins than you need from them.
