My friends and I are writers and we have come up with some really good ideas for comedy series. We are quite confident in one of the ideas and have had lots of very positive feedback. We presented the idea to a writing class and everyone found it hilarious and we've been told there's a lot of potential.
We were told to try and develop it as a book but it's not the sort of thing that can be developed as a story and probably wont appeal to a book reading audience so much. We wanted to film a pilot but we dont have the funds and it needs a very specific cast who need to look and act a certain way.
We looked online but have come across a lot of dodgy sites that want money to advertise the script or other sites that we worry will steal any good ideas.
So does anyone know how to develop and propose a script and outline for a TV series? How should it be presented and who do we send it to? Or can you point me to any RELIABLE information on this?
