In mid-september, I go back to college. I'm living on an off-campus dorm this time. Most sophomores are living in their own apartments or in houses, I'm not because I procrastinated the issue of housing until the last second...so I chose a last resort.

But it might not be that bad. The suite is 3 rooms, five guys, two bathrooms and a living room and kitchen. I'll be living with a lot of freshmen, which I'm thinking isn't so bad girls-wise.

I've had a year of experience and I'm much wiser now than I was last year. Last year I wanted to go to college and immediately establish myself as a mack-daddy-pimp-ladies-man. After that didn't work last year, I'm thinking this year a better strategy is to start off on the friendship tip. The friendship tip would get me hanging out in the girls' rooms, talking to them, meeting other girls through them, and possibly making out with or bedding them a bit later on.

A friend of mine, who is not particularly good looking, did this and achieved results beyond what I expected of him. I am good looking, and I think I'm bound to have a few girls crushing on me if I be cool, make friends and maintain the mystery. In other words, not be the eager horny bastard I was last year.

Whatya think? Words of advice/wisdom?

I'm in the same boat as you. I go back to school next week and I'll be a sophomore transfer student. I'll be living in freshmen housing. I think living with people(especially girls) who are new to college will be good for developing my social skills. Last year was probably the worst year of my life, but I learned so much.

I am going to try the same techniques you mentioned. They sound good to me. I'm a good looking guy(unfortunately I look like an Abercrombie model and not some manly type...) My problem last year was I expected the girls to just flock to me for drunken sex and threesomes..didn't happen. I didn't open my mouth. It was an all male school and the only way to meet chicks was at a frat party, and dancing was key.

I think your idea of being friends with them is a good idea. I plan to attach myself to some freshmen within the first few days to get a base of friends. I didn't do that at my last school really. Living in a dorm is probably a good thing if you want to meet new people.

Get out...DOn't stay in your room.

Does using "I" in every sentence qualify me as a narcissist?

I've also go a fake ID, so I can buy alcohol. This might give me a chance to establish our suite as the best partying suite of the dorms. That could be a VERY good thing.

That is a very good thing. If the right people come to your parties, you may be on the A-List at clubs and bars, get into shows and sporting events for free, etc. (this obviously increases your status, which helps with making the girls do all the work, since they all want to be around you.)

Or, at the very least, your room will become the hoppin' spot on campus and you'll get a good regular crowd which is bound to have some hot women in it.
