I think one of the reasons people refuse to use the search function is because its very ordinary.
For example:
- When you search a subject, the actual poster does not appear next to the topic line, but rather just someone who's replied.
- When searching for a poster it rarely finds their posts, and tends just to find a topic that they've replied to.
There are a number of other flaws in it and I think that if we want people to use the search function properly, it needs be more efficient.
