My friend was telling me how his friend was using weight gainers in addition to working out. and the next time he saw him he got real big.

I took a look at the can of weight gainers, They are very much cheaper than whey protein. And it includes almost everything to get big....with the addition of very high cholestorol levels.

I know i have an eating disorder and easily get full compared to a normal person. So no matter how hard i workout or try to eat more meals a day, it just wont happen.

I've gone to the gym for over a year with the intake of whey, and i barely saw any results.

Would you guys recommendd me take weight gainer shakes, as an alternative of eating more meals??

the nutrition behind your bodybuilding should be 90% actual food, and 10% your supplements.

if you get full easily, eat smaller meals more often. don't try to have 6 big meals, it wont happen. instead, break down 1 meal into 2, and do it for all 3 meals. then, once you get used to eating this way, start adding more food.

think of it as increasing your 1RM in eating.

Good advice. This is how I started out. For example, instead of having chicken and vegetables, I'd eat the vegetables then a few hours later I'd eat the chicken. Or instead of a tuna sandwich, I'd have a can of tuna, then a couple of pieces of toast a while later. I found my appetite increased from doing this and I felt a lot less gorged after meals.

From what I've read, regular eating increases your metabolism and your appetite.

The weight gainer is ok, but not a replacement for whey

You could actually make yourself a better weight gainer thats a lot more healthy (remeber the weight gainers are cheap for a reason) than the ones you'll buy..this is mine

1cup oats
2 scoops whey
2 cups milk

you can add more stuff to that too

Listen to MindOverMatter and get your eating of solid food up, but if your really having that much trouble with that i'd eat what you can then drink some of the gainer preferabley the homemade one. Then you'll have some solid food down and the gainer will make the difference.

Remeber at the end of the day this is what it comes down to

Total calorie intake.

Give me an example of your regular eating habits.

How many times a day do you eat? What do you generally eat?

Usually i wake up around 11 am, i eat my lunch. which is either spaghetti w/chicken strips or w/pork. and sometimes ill make a sandwhich to eat. After lunch, i mix a scoop of whey with a cup of milk before i head out to work.

4/5 hrs later, i head out and get a dish of chicken or beef w/rice (chinese food) which includes vegetables, or sometimes ill get a quarter pounder w/soda at micky d's.

When i return i mix another cup of whey/milk to drink.

around 8-9pm dinner. Rice, with with another dish. the dish being either pork or chicken or fish or beef. meal with vegetables.

then if im hungry ill eat a snack with milk before i head to bed, around 1 pm. Either a muffin, peanuts, or butter loaf.

Since im not taking any classes this semester, i dont have to wake up so early 7/8 am. and of course i eat 1 lesser meal a day.

Even still, with my daily meals, i will often eat it slow cause i get full easily, usually ranging from 20 - 30 mins.

Excellent choice of foods. Adding a protein bar will help, if you can afford it - though it is not necessary.

A rule of thumb: Eat small meals every three hours. If you can not squeeze a meal into your schedule, eat some fruits and chug down a nice cool glass of protein in water (PROTEIN SHAKE).

I recommend the MRM Creamy Chocolate Shake flavor - tastes so good, that I even get cravings for it.
It must be drugged.

weight gaininers blow, its loaded with bad carbs, meaning simple carbs which are consisted of sugars and such. stick with the whey, and blend a banana with it, and stay away from concentrated protein, get the isolate, muct better absorbtion and you will get better results. good luck with your future lifting !

I gonna say that Chinese food and McDonalds are not “excellent foods” for the ol' diet... I’m not sure if you eat these a lot but cutting them down to like once a week would probably helps you reach your goals a lot faster.

Definitely. They usually contain a lot of sugar! You should strive for most of your carbs to be complex carbs from things like vegetables and brown rice.

on that note, mg gavines (spelling) makes a really good 12 or 10 grain bread, with 10g of protein every 2 slices which is wicked for bread and its brown bread so you dont have to worry about nutritional value

I'm 5'8" 102 lbs. Any recommendations for my routine? I usually am starving at 1:30PM 2 hours before I can get home.

6AM - Cereal with milk
10AM - Pizza, Skittles, Pepsi
3:30PM - Whatever I can find
6PM - Meat, Rice and Pepsi
10PM - Peanut Butter crackers

I hate Tuna, and everything Seafood--so don't sugges that.

MRM also makes weight gainers, which was what I was using before I had to stop cause milk products fycked up my digestive system.

Weight gainers contain a lot of fructose. The purpose of it is to restore glycogen in your system after you had an intense workout, which is essential in rebuilding muscle. On bodybuilding.com they do no not recommend fructose but another kind, which I forgot. So go look it up on www.bodybuilding.com

And my experience with weight gainers, i did get a little more fat than usual, maybe from all those carbs.

Stick with natural whey.

Where to start? Cut out the Skittles and Pepsi right away. You don't need them. Replace pizza with a big ass turkey/ham sandwich on whole wheat bread. Or as suggested earlier...tuna. Try mixing it with mayo and sweet relish, and you can actually make it taste good. Try it.

Eat

8AM, 8PM... eat.

6AM?? Eat more. THat's shyt right there. Have that w/ a bowl of oatmeal, a banana, another glass of milk.

8AM - PB sandwhich on whole wheat.

10AM - Sandwhich like said, or tuna, or (canned) chicken, or how about 2 of the things I just listed. Whole wheat bread, and an apple...

Get the pattern?? You don't eat enough.
