When going out I usually wear worn jeans, rugged og semi-nice shoes, and a long-sleeve or hoodie. However I am wondering if I should dress nicer in Paris to attract the girls. I've seen that chicks there spend a great deal of time and effort on their looks, and maybe they like better dressed men too.

I'm going for 20-30yr old normal pretty girls.

Also, I'd like to hear tips from others who have successfully sarged there.

:D

hm i use to have hoodie and nike, adidas stuff when i approached, people would think i am trying to mug them rather than pick them up lol, especially at night. Just dress what is ur style man, not what has been advertised on tv with tick slogans and all that crap. Go into a smart clothes store, try on a few things and see what u like, also look at what the guys who have the girls ur aiming for and see what they r wearing. that may give u an idea what ur looking for and see what suits u best.

contradicitng advice i know, but thought u cud get a rough idea what sort of clothes u should b getting and then find which ones u like in that genre.

hmmm.... Paris is the fashion capital of the world, very fashionable, expensive tastes over there, no? Perhaps instead of decking yourself out in Armani suits or the latest that Gucci has been putting on the runway, you could go for the bad-boy American look? Not like you are going to rob somebody, but that whole auto-repair, 'I don't give a fvck' look that is insinuated with ripped jeans, cheap graphic tees and 5'o'clock shadows

Im not saying look like a bum, but your regular style can work to your advantage. It will make you stand out, which is what you want as a foreigner, (other than when being targeted for crime) Your clothing can show that you are a different flavour from the average Frenchie and can add some spice and variety into a girl's life, no strings attached while you whisk her into a romance that she thought only happened in the movies

Thinking about it I may be leaning towards the well-dressed look as I don't wanna get beat up by the police. They're fing crazy. Hopefully we'll frequent more upperclass parts of Paris, but even so the well-dressed look might come in handy.

I'm thinking worn but not ripped jeans, a nice cotton shirt and a suit-jacket.

Definitely learn some French phrases to say (and please do say them with the correct pronunciation). This will help you a lot, not only in the girls' department, but also in every type of situation in France. Remember that the French are the "Grande Nation" and very proud of their cultural heritage--> avoid derogatory comments and the like, as it will disqualify you socially.

Best stick to good, fashionable clothing, perhaps you might want to take in the scene for a day or to before going out to get tail.

Last thing: Do not count on everybody to be able to speak English, you are on their territory and now expected to speak and understand French. (They'll already like you if you can at least say something in French, I will assure you of that from my own numerous experiences).

Bon voyage!!

My one advice to you is, when going out, always wear long pants, never shorts. In France, and in most of Europe, they can spot out American tourists by their shorts. I haven't sarged there much, but I've been there twice. Don't look like a tourist, unless you speak the language perfectly and you're trying to peacock or something, lol.

In hell. I'm Satan's lover.
Just be yourself, the place shouldn't change that much. Only things I recommend from growing up in Paris:

- At least ask pardonnez-moi, parlez-vous le francais? (Pardon me, do you speak French?), if you just go right into English you will piss off some people, especially if you're American.

- Don't ever give a girl a handshake, hold her loosely and kiss both her cheeks. I still have the opposite problem with this now that I live in Canada ;).

Also you'll meet elitists (read: *******s) who will pretend not to understand your French if they detect anything but perfect French with a perfect accent... just ignore them they're usually ugly/fat/old. I'd also say dress up a little depending on where you're going to sarge but I'm a bit of a dandy so that's my own personal preference. Amusez-vous bien!

Wait, are you basically fluent in French? If not, forget sarging. France isn't Germany or India, and you can't just walk into a place and find somebody there who speaks English.

He can always hop on a boat/plane and head to London.
But you can get away with speaking minimal French, as long as you dont pull the American English of " if they dont understand me, I'll just say it louder in English"

Oh yeah I forgot about the kissing thing .... you need to kiss the girls on bot cheeks as a greeting, but shake hands with the men. Shaking hands and kissing is done whenever you see someone for the first time each day, or when meeting new people. Seriously, when the French go to school it's like a kissing and shaking marathon before class starts.

Oh yeah and shave before kissing, I forgot about that one day, very embarassing.

I don't speak a word of french, except from crotte de chien and merde, which I will try not so say.

I'm looking for some online french school or audio tapes at the moment.

You are the first guy, since the Wall came down, that has gone to France looking for girls! I applaud that! You are unique. Usually most guys (including Frenchmen) are going to the East of Europe with an age maximum set where your age minimum is. The girls in Paris are not much to look at, but the city is amazing. One of the most beautiful urban places on the planet. Be sure to eat lots of sweets. So much better than anything you will find in America. The bread and espresso is great as well.

Just wear a hoodie, fitted jeans, and PUMA or Addidas sneakers. That is what most of the white and North African guys seem to wear there. The hip-hop types go with the urban American look. Remember, France is pretty much an immigrant country like America, Argentina, or Canada.

Most important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself!

Go to Spain instead!! Just playin,(well, not really) France is not an easy place to sarge, especially ig you don't speak French. Usually there are American girls there that are easier to score with, but I'm sure you're interested in the French babes(who are absolutely beautiful), Seriously, it's ridiculous.

But yeah, French girls are all made up. They're wearing all that upscale fashion stuff and I was kinda intimidated to sarge when I visited last summer. That being said, I think wearing very nice clothes would be the best. I did the American look and it didn't work out so well. And you don't really want to look American in France. Trust me.

if I could do it again, I would wear nicer clothes. But it aint easy some countries, France being one of them. But again, you never know. The nightclubs (discotecs) are limited in Paris, but if all fails you always have Paris' Red Light District:)
