Salsa lessons

I'm thinking about going to a Salsa class to help improve my dancing skills and be more confident dancing at clubs.

Has anyone here had Salsa lessons and were they worth it? Did you go alone or with a partner? I'm also guessing there will be some cute girls to meet

my X girlfriend would DIE from happiness if I went to Salsa lessons with her. Man, we fought over that a million times. She is awesome at it however and I have never done it, never wanted to do it, and never intend on doing it. However, sometimes I went and watched and there was some hot chicks there, as well as a lot of po*fs. And some ugly cheesy guys trying to pick up the hot girls. Only thing is most of the hot girls have boyfriends who arent chumps, so u probably wont have a chance with them.

Plus dancing in a club AINT NOTHING like slasa dancing. Unless you get an empty dancefloor and tell the DJ to put on some Ricky martin, then you can shake your bonbon for all those homos.

I've had 4 Salsa lessons and it helped me a lot. I just signed for a Salsa class that will last for a whole semester.

I saw guys with girls dancing salsa-like things in pretty crowded discos and I can assure you - it is possible and chicks dig it.

So - go and take that class, it will help you a lot.

I've had Salsa lessons, but they didn't help much in regular clubs although they prepare you well for Salsa clubs.

What really helped me in regular clubs is Merenge. Lots of songs have the beat that Merenge go with, so you can always show your talents.

However, what I'm not good at yet is plain dirty dancing. I just don't feel comfortable while holding the woman and I don't exactly know how to rock my body.

Any tips on that?

A friend of mine (male - not gay) has asked me to come along with him to a salsa night, he says its packed and he's had some seriously hot dates from it, i've met them ! So i'm gonna give it a go, not take it too seriously and just be open minded about it...

I don't think you can go wrong.. its a new way of meeting women, i'm open to ideas !

It does sound like something different to do and another opportunity to meet women. Can't go wrong really.

Take the lessons. Be sure to find a instructor/school that also offer parties after class to practice your new skills. It is a great way to met women. Also, you can incorporate salsa moves into many dance styles no matter what type of dance club you go to.
