S**t Tests as IOIs

These days I've been seeing sh** tests in a new light. Rather than being annoyed or discouraged by them, I see them an IOI. I see a green light rather than a yellow or red one. It means your foot is in the door.

Think about it, women only test those who they already have some level of interest in, who they consider of value. The tests come to confirm whether her initial impression was right or wrong. Also keep in mind that she wants you to measure up, she wants you to pass.

Just last night I was out with my boy and he and I both were interested in the same girl. We pretty much said may the best man win and had at it. I started putting in work. Got her on the dance floor where she did the usual hard to get routine of dancing with me and then pulling away but I wasn't affected. I left to go talk to other chicks -- in fact could have made out with another girl but pulled away -- and then went back to my target to dance. No resistance this time. Number close at the end of the night. I successfully dealt with the tests... so far at least.

My boy, on the other hand, isn't too subtle. He directed all of his attention on this girl, a lot of compliments, etc. He tried to dance with her and she kept moving away. This wasn't a s*** test. She just wasn't interested.

Now when I come across an interested woman who's testing me, I adopt the mindset of "it's on."

I think I'm fortunate in that in my sphere sh!t tests are much more subtle and infrequent. I only date women in their early 40s or late 30s, and by that time they can't get away with that stuff anymore.

I actually have trouble understanding if earlier in my life I had been dealing with sh!t tests sometimes when I thought I was just dealing with uninterested bar skanks.

To this day I have great difficulty ignoring bratty behavior. I guess in my world I see it that I'm testing them rather than the other way around.

I think they will sh!t test you for their own pleasure and to keep in practice, as we do with our own games. You don't always eat what you kill in a hunt. If the so called man of their dreams graces their eyes in a bar, they'll be enjoying his nuts on their chin in about 2 hrs. Look, ma, no sh!t test there!

Bottom line, they'll do it for fun, or for a true decision, or not at all. It's a toss up.
