so im trying to cut up this winter......... been lifting on m/w/f and running every day after i come home from school. The run is about 2.6 miles and takes around 20 minutes to finish. Im around 185lbs and 6"1. Ive made a big effort to start working out and it seems to go well, but my eating diet is just regular as well. I dont pay real attention to what i eat, even though usually i try to eat something healthy. My body fat is not at 10 percent, but is my routine fine for starting to cut up?

Its been stated here by many DJs and a well know fact all over the fitness world:

Great Abs start in the kitchen..not the gym!

if you wanna do cardio, do it on the days when you're not in the gym, and do it for 10-15 mins at most, at high intensity.

what I mean by that is:

warm up by jogging for 1 min, rest a bit, then:

jog for 30 seconds
sprint for 30 seconds
jog for 30 seconds
sprint for 30 seconds

do as many sets of this as you can for 10-15 mins and you're done. High intensity cardio will raise your metabolism so high that you will be burning fat like an oven all day.

Please don't be one of those jokes that jogs for 2 hrs.
