In the three weeks since school started I've been spending a lot more time with a certain girl than I did last year, and rumors have started that we are "together". She does seem to like me (after all, I've heard no similar rumors regarding other female friends). Is there some way I can take advantage of nascent popular opinion and make it a self-fulfilling prophecy? If not, are the rumors going to hurt my chances with other girls? On the one hand, social proof, on the other it would imply that I'm not available (to those who don't know my stance on monogamy anyway ;) ). So, what to do?
