Nope. Adding RAM only performs improvement when you have to little. Unless you're running a huge server, you should never need that much RAM(2gb)

256MB - 512MB should do the average person. There's no need to go nuts.

Don't need more than 512 mb of RAM for a regular ol' computer, if you plan to use it for gaming then go for 1 GB. Over 1 GB is overkill unless you do a lot of multi-tasking or use memory-intensive programs.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I like using nothing. But than you have to be more cautious. If you're computer illiterate, I suggest sticking with it. If not, than fly solo.

Norton has an odd habit of spontaneously turning its antivirus protection off.
To make matters worse, it often won't turn back on.
To make matters really bad, Norton doesn't have a "repair install" feature - remove completely and then reinstall to get it working again.
But here's the kicker - it almost never uninstalls cleanly!
And if any traces are left behind - it refuses to reinstall, and McAfee (which I think is a far better product) won't do an install either, claiming that Norton's still on there!
If you want a free antivirus that's pretty competent, www.avast.com is your ticket.
If your Norton is Effed up and won't go back in, Avast has a light enough footprint that it will install, even with Norton's spoor all over your PC.

norton is a piece o' crap--it's very invasive, hogs resources, and you cannot uninstall it without some major hassles. get the free home version of avast. it works seamlessly with xp sp2, and m$ft actually recommends it on their web site. the only real difference between the free and paid version is the latter will do script blocking on malicious web pages.

www.avast.com

beat me to it :)

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

How Do U Get Rid Of Norton?

Now I know norton is not easy to get rid of, is there anyway to get rid of it completely without slowing down my computer? What about just going to control panel and remove file, will that do the work right away?

If none of these erase completely any suggestions? Cuz my computer is really slowing down from norton.

that won't work... norton is too deep in the registry to get rid of it by using the control panel.

The best way to get rid of Norton is to go run and use the regedit command, and delete norton. If you are not familar with regedit, don't use it, because you can seriously screw up your PC.

Norton? Oh right, for viruses.

j/k. I use a mac at home, so i don't even bother installing virus or anti-spyware programs.

 (like anyone cares)

But anyway:

1. Look for an uninstaller. This might be in the same folder or submenu as norton.
2. If not, try the remove program panel (as you say)
3. If it's not available in the removal panel, you can at least drag stuff to the recycle bin. Anything that runs automatically would be the main target.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Avast

Since avast keeps scanning for viuses and tojans, will it slow down my PC like norton?

Rookie, in the future please keep computer questions you have in here instead of taking up 4-5 spots in the forum, thanks.
