'Rockstar' wives/girlfriends

I was watching a documentary on VH1 or something about Rockstar wives, and I noticed many of these 80's Pop Metal musicians to my surprise actually don't have the most attractive wives/girlfriends(in my opinion). And these wives/girlfriends are only either in their early to mid 40's, or 30's, so if they were attractive, they'd still be looking good at this present time. And they appear to still keep up with themselves.

I was also flipping through the channels the other night at my buddy's house, and happened to tune into VH1's reality show with Bret Michaels, lead singer of 'Poison', where he has like 10 women to choose from who are all interested in him. But I was taken back by what I seen. These women weren't really attractive at all. I couldn't believe it. I would've thought the guy would be pulling in babes wayyy better looking than these broads. It's been pretty shocking to see all these 80's Pop Metal musicians not getting the most attractive women out there.

These musicians definitely have the "money", "fame", and "status", YET their women aren't that attractive(in my opinion). It's said that money, fame, and status bring in the hot babes...so where are they when it comes to all these rockers??

The only HOT girlfriend/wife on the VH1 documentary was Josh Todd's of 'Buckcherry'.

You ever been to a Poison concert or any other 80's rock band lately? It's mostly a bunch of 30's and 40's ugly chicks. Now I'm sure back in the 80's when the music was at it's most popular and the band members were in their 20's themselves, I'm sure they were pulling mad 20 year old hotties.

I guess my point is an even still somewhat wealthy/famous 30-40-something 80's and 90's era rockstar isn't at the height of popularity. The current group of hotties can go for the current group of big stars. These current stars are the only guys that are getting all the young hotties. This is one reason why I take issue with people who say your age doesn't matter as a guy. It does matter to younger women because they have so many choices. It's so competitive being a guy there's always going to be a younger guy that has every thing going on that you do.

Having said all that, it's kind of rare for any guy to have a harem of just hot girls. There's not all that many out there relatively to go around. But guys like that have a few or one or two super hotties. You're not seeing everything someone like Michaels gets. And like I said before he had his heyday.

I don't know why they are not dating hot girls but, All those guys are in the triple digits. Some of those guys probably have a thousand lays. Those guys have had enough pu$$y for 100 life times. Woman throw themselves at celebrites. I seen it in Dallas with erik dampier (who is a solid NBA player not even a star) in front of my eyes. This guy had HB9 and 10's hitting on him all night long at ghost club.

The funny thing is he was acting indifferent towards them, but they would not leave his side. He was acting like they were not even there. I believe he could have took home three girls that came to the club together and fvcked them all. He was nonchalant about it. Thats how much pu$$y these guys get.

I think some of those gals on Bret Michaels are good looking. But I can't stand their personalities. They're trash. Let's not overlook that they're on a reality show because they were looking at casting calls one day and this was a ticket to get their face on national television and maybe also land some status and money either through exposure or through Michaels and his contacts.

They apparently won't cast classy women who don't curse or cat fight or have scruples. Makes for a better show.

As opposed to: I was at a bar a year or two ago and Bobby Nystrom was there. Cheating on his wife, apparently, as he went out to the parking lot with some drunk chubby to swap tongues with her. Yuck. Past his heyday. I think he's got money still, he has his place and fame in hockey history, he hasn't let himself go, he looked decent for his age, but it just goes to show you that the bottom line is, it has to do with what kind of man you are.

I totally agree. However usually when a guy has social status along with it he also usuually has some money and looks and probably some game and personality, not that he needs personality and game. It makes for a killer combination. But a guy can have money, looks, or game or maybe even all 3 but not necessarily have mega social proof. So I agree that social proof trumps all.

How about talking about how Brett makes himself super fun and yet at the same time has a deeper side of him that the women just eat up? And how he manages to control this harem of women. And how he has already slept with 2 of the contestants and yet the other women have not stormed out?

Well there's no way of seperating the fact that he has good looks, money and fame. Having all that makes it kind of hard not to win over women. He could have a below average personality and game and still have a harem of women under his control. Heck you could put an average Joe on a TV show and girls would fight over him, just because of the social proof alone.

Why would a rockstar want a hot WIFE? He can bang attractive groupies for FREE...just the chance to say, "I slept with so-and-so" is motivation enough for many women. Why get some hot-looking-but-nothing-else-going-for-her woman to raise his kids and put her name on the bank books?

Simple good looks are NOT the number one quality you should be looking for in a WIFE. As long as you think that way, you will remain a chump, always trying to nail down hot bimbos into LTRs and getting jealous/nervous when other men swarm around them/try to pry them away.

On another note, did you see Michaels go all AFC the other night when Christy Joe left? It was so textbook I couldn't help but laugh. Awhile back a girl I was dating called me up to have some drinks at a local upscale martini joint. I guess she is friends with one of Tiger Woods' mistresses, and they were all in the VIP partying. I declined the offer since I hate that bar and celebs don't impress me.

Anyway, I guess Tiger is a pr!ck, from what my girl told me. But you know what? The guy can have had his pick of at least 7 out of 10 women, anywhere he goes, on any given night.

For these guys having a wife with a bunch of OTHER good qualities is a lot more important. I saw the same show and was impressed by the intelligence and personalities of most of those women. I can see why they would want these women around.

And just for the record.....the Buckcherry dude's girl is HOT.

I happen to watch these same programs you mention.

My judgment is these women are in the rating system of 5 and only dolled up to look maybe a 6 or 7 if that high.

That Bret Michaels reality show Rock Of Love is slutty as hell to me but one babe on there I'd take in a heart beat who is in the running but shes not that great looking in the face but oh how good that bod looks.

Actually this is Michaels second season of Rock Of Love he didn't have any luck gettin' him a woman the first season but I'd say this reality show is bringing in the dough so he decided to do it again.

Good point. Only thing I disagree with is how you say there's not many HOTTIES out there to go around. I don't know man, but I see A LOT of hotties when I'm out. No matter where I am. Obviously more when I'm out at the clubs and bars though. Maybe it's a NY thing. The women in this state are bangin' bro. That accounts particularly for Long Island and Manhattan. If you have not yet come here, you should. Walk through Manhattan on any given weekend, and you can literally jizz your pants.

I don't watch his show, nor do I plan to. I think reality shows are retarded. Not to mention inacurrate and staged, as well as bias. So, no, I haven't seen his "AFC" moment. I'm actually glad to hear you say that you see a lot of hot girls in NYC. It tells me your standards are probably not too high. Maybe NYC has a lot of hot women, but what my point is there's never as many hot women as they are guys that want to get one. And when the guys that can are usually getting more than one or two or however many it makes hot girls in high demand. You just got to have your game on point. But they're out there to be had that's for sure.

(March 28) - Rikki Rockett, the high-haired drummer for '80s glam metal group Poison, was arrested on a Mississippi rape warrant as he arrived at a Los Angeles airport on Monday following an overseas concert date, reports the LA Daily News.

The 46-year-old former hairdresser, born Richard Ream, was picked up as he was going through customs and then booked on a felony fugitive sexual assault warrant out of Neshoba County, Mississippi. He was held at the L.A. County Jail and later released, according to the Sherrif's office Web site.

The details of the warrant and the charges that Rockett may be facing have not yet been made public. The rocker's wherabouts are also unknown.

Rockett was returning from New Zealand, where Poison performed over the weekend at a rock festival. The band, formed in 1983, rode to fame during the Sunset Strip era of hair metal with hits "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Unskinny Bob" and "Nothing But a Good Time." The group also includes guitarist C.C. DeVille, bassist Bobby Dall and singer Bret Michaels, whose reality show "Rock of Love" is in its second season on VH1.

According to Stuff.co.nz, other acts at the rock event included Kiss, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake and Lordi.
