Ok, I've been seeing this woman for about a month.

On the first couple of dates, she asks me:

How old are you?
How long have you been at your job?
How long have you been divorced?

And things of that nature. Now, all of the sudden ( and I *think* things are going good..who knows for sure tho. ) she is asking me the *same* questions.

Only this time she seems to be paying more attention.

Is this a sign that she is mentally challenged? Forgetful? Or do women ask 'throw away' questions on the first couple of dates just to get men to ask them questions in return?

Can someone explain this to me? Why do I have to tell her how old I am 3 different times?

She doesn't believe you and is testing to see if you give the same answers

A bit stupid but it could be that

I went out with a guy who lied about his age and then I read his passport and found out the truth

My current GF took a look at my drivers license to verify my age. She asked to see it while I had it out for some reason or other and she told me outright, but light heartedly, that she wanted to make sure how old I was. No biggie, she never made it a huge issue.

As for asking the questions over and over again, there can be many reasons why she is doing it. More than likely her IL could be changing (for better or for worse). Either way, pay attention to what she says, she may have been burned before. Watch for signs that she could be high maintenance.

Uhmm...

She could just be forgetful.

I do that all the time. I ask people things I'm *supposed* to have known for years. *blush*

It's not because I'm testing you, or evaluating you, it's because I damn-plain forgot.

She might have just been making convo the first time, and now that she's really interested, wants to get the answers again, and try to remember them this time. :)

Maybe she wasn't that interested in you at first and now she is. Therefore she was not paying attention before now her interest in you is rising.
At least that's what you want to hear by the amount of information you gave us. Maybe you should give more information.

You should probably be reading her a little more. Sometimes I ask repetitive questions because experience tells me the more I ask a question the more the answers change. At times, I ask a question more than once because I don't have anything else to say, becasue I forgot the answer or really didnt care the first time I asked it.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
I've had girls ask me my name, I gave it to them, and then they'd have forgotten it by the end of the night. I think it MIGHT be similar to what comote is saying...when it starts out, you're just another guy trying to get laid, but once you show her value, she has an honest curiosity. I usually don't let them pull that BS, because I KNOW it'd be unacceptable if *I* forgot *THEIR* name, so I usually demand that they remember or "guess" it before the conversation proceeds any further. :)

Over 2 or 3 dates, though? I dunno. Is the conversation stalling? Maybe she asks the same questions because she goes to them by default when there's a lull.
