If you really can't dodge the question (after sex) then why not be honest and say you need more time.

A) More time in which you will find out if she's really worth it
or
B) More time in which you'll have carefree sex and don't give a damn ;)

Instead of quoting Harrison Ford from Star Wars why don't we just quote Tommy Lee Jones from the Fugitive: "I don't care..."

Seriously though, this isn't about ego, it's about keeping interest level high. Many women lose some amount of interest when you say you love her. Prolonging the actual statement often keeps interest high because she wonders, is uncertain, hopes, and will put effort into your relationship -- which invests her in it even more -- so that you do say it. This isn't ALL women, but it certainly is many.

Her: "I love you."

Him: "I love you too."

Jesus holy fvcking Christ! How fvcking hard is that? It's a generation of social misfits who can't say "please" and "may I" and "thank you."

My God, aren't you the little *****es? Either you love her and you say you do or you don't and don't say anything. But to try and keep the upper hand like many of you do.. How sad.

Why can't you just be fvcking honest about this one? If you love this girl, you respond with 'I love you too'. If you don't, just say 'you're very sweet'. If she pushes, just tell her 'I need a bit more time before I reach that point'. Easy, simple and honest.

The girl I dated before my current gf was always telling me she loved me. I never said it to her once because I didn't feel it. She didn't go running away in disgust. Instead, she stuck it out, waiting for me to respond with the affirmative which I never did.

I almost had a bit of an incident where I used the word and thought I was in trouble. I was just being witty after having my appearance compared to Kojack so I used the "Who loves ya, baby?" line. Hours later she's asking what I really meant by that and gets cross at me for "tossing the L-word around." After I let things cool down for the rest of the day she came back with even more interest than before so seems to have worked out in my favor anyhow.

We don't tell women we love them because that kills your mystery because now she feels like you actually love her. (even if she literally forced you into saying it)

If you don't love her, just say "I need more time to be sure," if you been in the relationship for a bit or "I need to know you more," if this is like the second/third date. (some girls actually throw the word out that early)
