Relationship status question

I heard that the majority of woman who are married or have boyfriends always want it to be known. I see a lot of woman who lists themselves as in a relationship etc on myspace etc and friendster. Also, facebook has a feature that shows who you are in a relationship with.

1. My question is are there some women who do not like to mention about it? I have some woman friends that put their in a relationship and those are the ones that are DEFINITELY proud of showcasing that their b/f's so their friends can see.

2. I also have 1 or 2 woman friends that put that their engaged and married or in a relationship when their definitely not. What's with these 2 women? One of them is also unhappy most of the time and writes things like crazy thoughts like depression if you get what I mean. Do they list themselves involved or engaged because they don't want to seem to have low value or something?

3. What about woman that do not even mention if their in a relationship in one of those profiles? I have maybe 2 woman friends that do this. One does this and does have a boyfriend. Does that mean she isn't really that happy with having a b/f since most woman would definitely list themselves as having one when their friends see?

4. The other woman doesn't have a boyfriend but does not list her relationship status. Is it because she doesn't want to feel "left out" or something? I know most guys don't really give a damn when they list if their single or not but it seems that a lot of women are AFRAID of listing themselves as single.

Comments or thoughts of what i had to say on all thesee different kind of women would be great.

I've noticed this same thing with my female friends, especially on facebook. One girl doesn't list herself as being in anything (her bf is in italy studying abroad and she's always flirting with other guys). Two other female friends of mine are in a relationship with each other (stupid girls, it's annoying when they do that). Then one of them always gets mad at her bf and weekly changes her relationship status to 'single', just to get him mad. Basically there's several different types of girls when it comes to these relationship status. Ones that don't list anything are usually either hiding their bf from the world, or just aren't interested in anyone at the moment. Girls that are in relationships with each other, I find are usually party girls that put out fairly easily. So you should pretty much only hit on the normal ones that say single, or the ones that are engaged or in a relationship with each other.

Yes i agree. I also felt that women who do this relationship with their woman friends just do that so they wont be listed single. What about those that try to hide their b/f from the world? I just thought most women want to show who their man is.

If it helps any, the older women get, the more willing they are to disclose the fact they are in a relationship (especially on facebook).

A lot of girls put in a relationship to stop guys from sending them messages.
