It's been said that in the beginning of a relationship, everything is perfect and all is well. But as time goes by, both parties start "being themselves" and thus, becomes the test of whether they can put up with each other's nuances and if the relationship is built to last. Question here is, is it better to avoid this game of being on your best behavior in the beginning, or risk being potentially annoying or unattractive and just let it all hang out right from the start? I'm not saying being gross like farting or garbage everywhere. Simple things like going through one's usual routines in the morning, eating all the food on your plate at dinner every time or being overly affectionate to a pet. Too much to show in the beginning of a relationship?

I think we need to specialize in making the honeymoon period more permanent.

If you want an exciting and vibrant relationship the couple needs to be exciting and vibrant. Don't expect an authentically exciting relationship if the people aren't authentically exciting.

surely he's saying if both people are fun and exciting, the relationship will stay as such. if it's an act that one or both of the people are only projecting that they are fun and dont have anything underneath the gloss, the relationship will fizzle and wear off in due time.

or are you just taking the mickey?
