how to win friends and influence people
how to talk to anyone
the book of pook (in the DJ bible on this site)
Sex god method (it's borderline pornographic, but it's ABSOLUTELY WORTH whatever it costs - it's an e-book)
Don't read them all at once. Pick one or two and work through them slowly. I'd start with the book of pook as it's free and is great uplifting material about self worth and priorities.

The books listed by Deadly Ripped are pretty good.
I also like:
"think and grow rich" - pretty damn good book and I have used the "mastermind" part of it to eventually start my own business on the side with my brother and cousin. A bunch of us met up once a week for years, and me, my brother and cousin finally got our own company going now. Also, there is a part at the end of the updated version of the book where it tells you to have meetings every night with all of your "idols". Pick 10 or 12 people that you would like to have influence your life (presidents, successful rich folks, successful dating gurus, just great people in any field that you strive to be like) and have a "pretend" meeting with them every night. (of course, you do not wanna tell ANYONE that you're doing this lol, otherwise they'll think you've lost it). It tells you to read as much as you can about your list of idols, read books on them, anything. the idea is that "you become who you hang out with" and even though these meetings are not techincally real, your mind works in really amazing ways and is so powerful that you eventually start getting benefits just as if you were meeting with all of these people. You will know so much about them and in about half a year or so it might start to be so real that you would notice different strange things about them in your "pretend meetings" LOL. I know it all sounds nutty, but it really works. Think of how more confident and successful you would be if you hung around any 10 of the greatest people in history in things you want to accomplish. Well this pretty much gets you there!! Once again, dont' tell a soul lol.. someone might leak it out and then you're toast.. You never want to give your power away.
Anyway, more books:
THe evolution of desire (pretty cool book on why we do things we do, marry, cheat, die, whatever)
emotional inteligence (this is a great book but it is kinda hard to read and on the boring side, but if you can get through it, it is a great book and actually will give you plenty of topics to talk to girls about as well)
The total money makeover (by dave ramsey) this is a MUST READ if you have any sort of credit card debt or any debt for that matter. This book literally changed my life. Read it if you have any debt.
sperm wars - pretty good book
The secret - a good book, but very simple.. more motivational than anything, you won't get anything too useful out of it, but you will get motivated (actually "think and grow rich" is similar, but I really did like the "mastermind" concept described in think and grow rich, as well as your 10 idols. If you're serious about making money, start a mastermind group. pretty much read think and grow rich and it will explain it.)
The obvious expert - this is a good book if you're trying to start up a consulting business or advertise your self or business in any way.
Gung ho - this is a good book if you're in a job where you are the leader of a group of people. If you are in any sort of management, supervisor, or leadership position, I highly recommend this book.
the layguide - this is a pretty straight to the point book about picking up chicks. I like it better than a lot of other books out there.

Of all the dating Gurus I've followed, the best material I've read is by Carlos Xuma. He explains things clearly, highlights a lot of mistakes guys make.
I find most self help and dating gurus are longwinded, take too much time promoting themselves and refer to a lot of gimmickry, whereas Xuma is more to the point.

He echoes a lot of the positive lessons you will learn on this forum and does it very clearly and concisely.
