I have had sorethroat for 2 weeks straight. I don't have cold nor flu. I took Halls for sorethroat but it only ease it briefly. Then the problem recur again. I have difficulty swallowing my saliva or talking.

What kind of sorethroat meds do you take? Is there over the counter meds that I can buy without prescription?

Take stuff that has antibacterial properties. There these honey tasting lozenges that has some chemical to kill bacteria. Its not magic but it really helps me to recover alot faster when I get such an ailment.

Oh man, I've been through this. I had something called "stafilococ" in romanian, its some kind of transmited desease, I think I got it from kissing some biatch who had it.

It can become really serious, so visit your doctor as soon as posible. If you do the test and really have it he'll give you some pills. Nothing complicated.

Is that the herpes you get in your throat virus? Mononucleosis? Epstein-Barr Virus...

picard, nah mate, it wasnt pleasant at all, for about 1 year my throat hurt like hell. And not just that, I was kind of a person that got sick really easy, so every month it went down from my throat to my lungs. I had pneumonia and acute bronchitis and even asthma attacks (which disappeared from my childhood until then) every so often. My dumb doctor just fvcking filled me up with antibiotics for a year until she realized what I could have and sent me to take the test. I dont want it to sound like a complaint, because I did a lot of things to get really healthy, and I succeeded, I can drink cold beer for a whole night now and I wont have problems with my throat.

flippinfreak, here is a little something about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staphylococcus_aureus

****ing doctor also scared the **** out of me when she told me what I had. She looked me in the eye with a straight face and said in a tone as if I had 1 month to live:

"-You are infected with staphylococcus aureus"

Fvck me! I almost broke down to tears.

You fvcken bastard Picard!!!

I have a sore throat now, I haven't had one in years!!!!

How dare you put thoughts into my throats head:cuss:

PS Tavii, I was talking about mononucleosis, the herpes of the throat. Mild though, the kissing disease.

PPS If your having trouble swallowing Picard, it's inflamed glands. Workout a bit, push some heavy things around, get the blood pumping and stressing. You should be all right in a few days if you've already had it for two weeks.
