Real talk with my Mother

I had a conversation with my mother in which she confessed to a few things after biasing me for so long. She is an attractive woman, I must say. She admitted to liking bad boys in university, but not going out with them. She still thinks of what could have happened if she did, saying that she was smarter than that to hook up with them even though the attraction was there.

Second thing, she admitted to “settling down” with my father because of this: his interest level was a lot higher than hers and she knew she could control him and he would not f*&ck around too much. In other words, she is a manipulative little woman and not afraid to use it, still does. I think my Dad is still oblivious to this even after 26 years of marriage. And I think that’s that imbalance of interest is what kept them together for so long even though he is not an AFC.


Thats how relationships are built.

he does actually. He gets jealous easily and any disrespect will have you kicked to the curb. He almost threw me out of the house at 16.

This pretty much solves the whole equation. Whoever has the more attractive qualities has control of the relationship, and the one with the less attractive qualities usually fears they'll be dumped. The one with the more attractive qualities can dump their partner at the drop of a dime.

Women are like computers/iphones/ipods/cars/etc.; You get a good one then a better model comes along.

Nope the one that makes the money has the control in the relationship IMO.
