Ok two questions I would like to see who has a good idea. I will try ALL ideas you guys give me and reply with what works. Both of these relate to a cold pickup at a bar / party / street whatever where you have never talked to or seen (probably) the girl.

1. When you first approach girl and make initial introduction, get her name, ect... what question do you ask. Even if you throw some ****y / funny line in there like the
You know, there are thousands of great guys out there, but only a few of us aren't gay
(thanks AKA FLEX) you will inevitably need to ask a question to keep the conversation going. What great question can you ask that will really leave an impression while giving her a reason to bite when you close the deal???

2. What is the best / most clever thing to say when the girl says she has a boyfriend? If she is being b.itchy and says she has a boyfriend before you even get a proper introduction, you can use "I am really happy for you. But you know, that isn't really a suprise to the rest of the world so you don't need to go telling strangers you have a boyfriend" Then walk away. What else can you say or what can you say if you make introduction and she then says she has a boyfriend, or if you talk for 5 minutes and she really buys it then she says she has a boyfriend when you ask for her number?

Thanks hope to hear a lot of good ideas from you guys

1. Ask about school, work, ask what else they like to do besides the activity they are currently doing. After each one of these you can use follow up questions and c&f to build rapport.

For example, one thing that I use is when I ask what school they go to or where they are from orginally, my reply to there answer is "I'm going to have to take a point away for that." And then bust out something C&F about the school or area. Delivered correctly this line will always get a smile from them.

I'm taking the approach that I am an entertainer and if I can entertain them, make them laugh, and build rapport, than it will be easier to get the #.

2. As far as the boyfriend thing goes, when I here that I hit the quick eject button. For me all the wind goes out of my sails and I move on.

Next time a girl tells me she has a boyfriend, i'm going to say:
"Are you tired of him yet?" in a ****y/funny kind of way.

It appears as if you are no stranger to David Deangelo's advice. Remember, he said he doesn't come out of the gates with the ****y/funny stuff upon meeting them - he waits until the first date or so.

I'm thinking that chicks are sick of pickup lines, so i think your best bet is to just walk up and introduce yourself.

When I approach a woman I never know what I am going to say. I only know that I will introduce myself to her and get her name. After the introductions, I just go where ever my mouth and mind takes me in the interaction.

I have spoken complete gibberish before.

When a woman states that she has a boyfriend, I used to reply with the oldy but goody:

"Want to have an affair?"

It always worked for a good laugh and to show some since of humor. I love it to this day but nowadays, I just go into some obvious BS about how nice it is to have boyfriends. I go on about how nice it is to have boyfriends and all the nice things you can do with them but I do it in a manner that also sort of poking fun at them.

Me: Yeah boyfriends are nice. You can Hold hands, go to the movies together,
take walks through the park, sky dive together, go handgliding, do tag team wrestling matches with alligators etc.,

Once they throw the boyfriend out there, I feel free to do a lot of clowning around.

You might need to read Pimpologist's guide to conversation in the Bible. It explains how to use Fluff talk and initate emotional responses from her.

For an all purpose opener, I like to use "Hi, I was (whatever you were doing-- eating, shopping blah blah) and I couldn't help but notice you. I didn't want to pass up an opportunity to meet an interesting person."

If they tell you they have a boyfriend, just move on. You don't need any clever, witty responses, because it's pretty much a lost cause.

Here are a few I have tried and that work.

If a girl says she has a boyfriend, I smile and say while looking her right in the eye "on a scale of 1 to 10, how bored are you?" then smile and WAIT for her reply. If she responds in any way but positively thank her for the talk and LEAVE. Often times they will laugh and smile and say 'oh I really dont have a boyfriend'. Lots of girls also only keep a 'boyfriend' around until something better comes, like a security blanket. Their curiosity and interest will peak, and then you may have a chance. But dont count on it.

I work fine with the introduction. I just wish I could figure out the really creative, funny opening question that makes them want to talk to you. Just like public speaking, a great introduction is sometimes all that is needed to capture the interest of the audience.

How do you think this would work?? Ask them this: 'what question could I ask you right now that would drive you crazy figuring out why I would ask you something like that?'

Lemme know guys.....

OH YEA CG333 That does work well about the points thing... if the girl says something I like I will sarcastically say something like 'NICE, well looks like you just moved up a notch' then they act like they dont care like WHATEVER but really they love that sh.it looking to score points....

DUKE: that opener really doesnt work. Introductions are fine but when you say something like that it is lame becuase #1: you havent really met them so you dont know if they are interesting. It comes off as if you are hiding your intentions.

Also, if they are being all cold you can say 'you know, if you smiled and laughed you would be really hot!'

LOL... Props for the boyfriend response, Starman. I'll have to remember that one.

Well, since I can't beat Starman's response, I'll let you know how I usually open a conversation with a girl. I make a humorous comment on something going on around me. Just the other night at a music concert, there was an extremely attractive woman dancing next to me. There were also some very drunk guys trying to dance near the stage, making complete idiots out of themselves.

So, it was very natural to lean towards her a little, and say "I think you should give those guys up there some dance lessons." She was a little flattered and came back with the suggestive, "I think they're beyond help. But at least they're dancing." I confirmed the lead by saying, "Hey, are you taking a jab at me?" She smiled and shrugged. So I respond with, "I don't have anyone to dance with," which was obviously untrue, because I came with two very attractive women who were sitting not five feet away. She just opened her arms up and made a gesture as if saying, "Well, here I am."

I've found that observing something about the environment is the easiest and most natural way to start a conversation with a stranger. It could be with a guy on a plane, an old lady in the subway, or an attractive woman in a bar.
