realize fellow travelers that much of the advice we hear here comes from a looooooooooong line, a long history of self-help.
and there are nuggets of truth among the crap... a few baubles of pearls among the swine. but we must choose carefully, critically, with discernment.
because primarily, these things are devices meant to bring wealth to one primary beneficiary.... the author!
truly, it is odd that i keep going back to hollywood as the source of great profound wisdom but here it is again, all the more relevant - here from the princess bride:
"life is pain. those who tell you different are trying to sell you something."
