Racism

Today, something provoked me for the first time in months. I got so angry that I wanted to punch someone the whole way home. Afterschool, there was an interest meeting in which everyone gathered on the floor. There was this white kid who started to push through everyone. He yelled, "Damn Asians, get out of the way." Then, he proceeded to push all of the asians who were in front of him out of the way. One of my friends stood up to him and said "What the hell did you just say," and of the sort. He responded with "How long have you been to this school?" My friend answered; he's a sophomore. The white kid said, "You should be used to it by now then." Note that my school is majority asian, about 50-70%.
How do you guys deal with such blatent racism? What are your opinions? This is something that has pissed the hell out of me right now and I'd like to hear some advice or opinions on the topic.

What? There's something about screaming racist remarks when you are the minority of the school that sounds unbelievably dumb.

Anyway, in my school (and I think every) racist statements like that can get your ass in a lot, of trouble.

The highschool I went to was about 50% Asian, and there was this one guy in my class who used to make all these silly racist remarks... but instead of getting mad at him, people (incl. Asians) just laughed at his blatant attempt to draw attention to himself! He was a funny guy though, but that's another story.

And yes, his racial remarks sounded genuine. But people around here are more laid back, preferring not to get mad, but make racial remarks back at him about his race (he's Caucasian)... but really it's no big deal. The situation defused itself. Words are just words. Nobody really took it that seriously.

You cannot control anybody else. YOu never can and you never will. Learn to take control of your soul, and how to have peace inside and things like that wont bother you. A personally doesn't need your permission to strike you physically, but they need you permission to strike you emotionally.

I was driving down the road and these guys (looked like skinheads) were saying Go back to Japan...that was in high school. I took the baseball bat out of my back seat and started swinging it at their car while I was driving....they jammed the hell outta there.

Kind of dumb to do...I was about to Mace them.

Some kid at my school got his a$$ kicked the other day for dropping the n-bomb at a black kid. The black kid isnt very big at all, but he kicked the crap out of the other kid.

Royal has the idea though. That was deep and highly intellectual man. I commend you for such good advice about anything, not just racist comments.

Who cares? It's like those idiot black kids that tell white jokes, but get mad when someone refers to them as black people. I'm Cuban, and I hear plenty of "Why do Cubans hate Jesus? Because Jesus can walk on water" jokes at a 95% Cuban school. I could care the **** less.
