Quick question about sucking in...

Just out of curiosity, how many of you suck your gut in? I know, it's a pretty stupid question, but I find myself wondering how often I do it without even noticing... For example, go to the mirror, and push your stomach out all the way. Pretty fat, eh? Now put it in it's place - the way you normally carry it. Then, put it like you'd have it at the beach. Notice any difference?

I've read that you SHOULD "suck in" your gut, especially when working your abs. The muscles you use to suck in you stomach are behind your abdominal wall and need working out as well to become firm. If these mucsles don't get worked like your abs then you might end up having a six pack that "sticks out".

I make it a point not to, especially at the beach. It seems like such a superficial thing to do whenever I see people do it.

i have abs that stick out. its kinda cool because i actually have muscles there instead of little skinny guys that are happy because they have a flat six pack. ha. well you can do vaccuums that are supposed to pull your abs back in by strengthening your inner ab muscles. i havent been dong them consistantly so im not really sure abou thtme yet. my only problem is that i think if my abs didnt stick out as much it would make my chest look bigger

I suck it in all the time, I have the under the shirt suck, and then the noshirt suck.

Except if I've just eaten a meal, in which case I often forget.

Lol I do it all the time. Well except when im at home. I do the same exact thing in the mirror too. It just makes me feel a bit more confident.
