I bought some Creatine today but have a question on the loading part.

I worked out last night and want my body to have plenty of rest and recovery before I workout again maybe Friday since I did Squats and getting my body use to the poundages.

Does anyone know if it's OK to start the loading process now without working out until Friday or should I wait until Friday morning when I wake up to start and then after the workout take more?

I guess the reason I am asking is I want to get this stuff in my system but I don't want to do it if I end up peeing it all out without benefits without working out.

Also, I have been reading a lot about the water retention and this is mainly the size you get and not muscle is this true or myth?

Thanks

You can start loading now if you want even if you are waiting to work out on Friday. It's your call. You would be good and saturated with creatine by Friday if you starting loading now though. And most of the size will be water, but it will make you lift more and lifting more will also add some size as well as time goes on.

Is the water retention that occurs show up in the face or in the muscles worked? I don't want puffy eyes or face.

But muscles do build up though don't they? Like some is water but the majority is muscle I hope.

And thanks for the link.

get creatine ethyl ester and don't load.

it's absorbed a lot better which means you can use less and it's cheaper per pound.

I just hope you didn't get the Pro Performance Creatine from GNC. It's cheap, but it's such a rip off because it doesn't work. What kind did you get Lonesilver?

If you can stomach Cell Tech go for it. I tried it and personally almost threw up from the taste, but I heard it works well. I wouldn't know since I only tried it once.

So far with the grape favor I can stomach it pretty good but the sugar is high 75 g and not sure if the expense is worth it yet also considering I use bottled water with my Whey Protein and now with the creatine my water bill will go up as well and don't dare drink from the facet anymore yuck.

In the end maybe I will be happy with the results considering my eating habits are good with plenty of rest I will have to see but might look into good reviewed cheaper Creatine products though.

@ LoneSilver,

That is ALOT of sugar to be taking in at once,if you are trying to get defined I would stray away from it. 75 grams of sugar=4 servings of yogurt, too much in my opinoin.

I have been wondering about that myself and it seems I feel a bit light headed after drinking it.

With this grape favor I don't understand why they would put that much sugar in their product but use less as the taste would seem OK in my opinion with less.

But at this stage I am mainly bulking up the muscle since I have been away from lifting awhile.

Reckon it's that sugar making me lightheaded? Hope it's not causing damage to my system.

Can ice tea home brewed be drank after consuming Creatine without it hurting its absortion?

I drink a lot of ice tea a whole picture a day very little sugar and I know your supposed to drink a lot of water when using Creatine or is pure water the better bet?

Maybe this will curb my water bill if no evidence has been found that caffene or ice tea hurts anything.

You absorb water from pretty much anything. It doesn't have to be straight up water.

For anyone who takes in caffeine with any consistency (most of us in some for or another), it doesn't act as a diuretic. I know plenty of people who drink nothing but soda pop and coffee and they don't seem to be suffering from dehydration.

I have no idea if ice tea affects creatine absorption but plenty of it counts as water. I drink mostly green tea and water mixed with protein shakes as my water source for the day (over a gallon) and i eat 360g of protein a day and i don't think i'm the least bit dehydrated.

Thanks MrRuckus, sounds to make sense to me and I don't really find myself running to the bathroom to empty alot so this would tell me most of the ice tea I am drinking and the water is remaining in my system.

I will check out the link and thanks for your time in posting.
