I’m a new member here. I just posted a thread not too long ago but after I did I immediately thought of the question that inspired me to join this community.

Basically, what is the best way to approach and introduce yourself to a woman?

For a bit more background, I am 22-years old and am upgrading a few secondary courses in order to fill prerequisites for a University program. In one of the classes I’m upgrading, there was this girl who caught my eye when she walked in and we exchanged a few glances of curiosity. She was probably a year or two younger than myself, and came across mature and intelligent. She didn’t come off promiscuous or of that nature at all.

After class, a friend and I passed her while she was waiting for a ride. When we passed, my friend told me that, twice, she gave me a lingering gaze. This happened during the very first class so we are complete strangers and that was the first time I saw her, but I’ve become interested in her and would like to go out of way to introduce myself.

I’ve read a few things briefly and learned that the first impression is crucial to opening up the door for things to come. So I’d like to make it count and that is why I’m seeking out advice, mainly on what I should AVOID doing, because I know I’ve probably made mistakes in the past regarding introductions but they were so subtle I wasn’t aware of it.

I feel confident enough to go out of my way to introduce myself, the problem is I don’t know how to make a lasting impact, and I don’t want to waste the opportunity if I don’t have to. Maybe the answer is obvious, I don’t know, but I appreciate any insight I can get from you guys.

Thanks.
