Allen,
I seem to recall hearing you say that the Tips Forum gets more readership than the Discussion Forum. I was very surprised to hear that, and it made me wonder if I have a mistaken view of the various forums--and maybe other people might have this misunderstanding as well.
Till now I've been under the impression that the "Discussion Forum" is where you go to discuss things, and the Tips Forum & Successes Forum are basically a repository of threads that people go to primarily to *read*, but not so much to post.
When I post a message I never post it ONLY for others to read--I am always hoping to hear what others have to say about it. For this reason I always post to the Discussion Forum (or Anything Else & Suggestions Forums when appropriate), but I never post messages to the Tips Forum, nor do I ever go there expecting to find a reply to something I wrote. The only time I go there is if I am in the mood to read a bunch of old posts.
Anyway, is this incorrect? Is the Tips Forum actually a busy discussion area where people are posting new messages and replying to each other--with activity comparable to the main discussion area?
I realize I could try to determine this myself, but I think you probably have better stats on how the Tips forum activity level (new posts & replies being added to threads) compares with the main Discussion Forum.
