Daily exercise does a tremendous job in helping depression. I don't know if it's because the serotonin levels go up or endorphins increase, but it works. I had to start exercising because the antidepressants I'm on made me gain weight. My psychiatrist even says that exercise is extremely important. Now it's a part of my daily routine and depression effects me far less then it did and I'm actually happier.
