i read in that one post by a-unit that squats n deadlifts are 2 important exercises but dont they work the same muscle groups? usually after i do squats, im dead tired and i couldnt imagine myself doin any more work wit my legs....so wut am i supposed to do? hold back on squats a bit so i can do deadlifts?

also, when u do deadlifts, do u let the barbell touch the ground again? or do u keep the pressure on the legs and jus keep it rite above the ground

Deadlifts is mainly for lower back, so i do em when working out my lower back.
Squats are for leg days. However, I do stiff-legged deadlifts on leg days cuz they work your hamstrings well if they are down right. I used to have a problem with stamina too cuz squats take up alotta energy, but i eventually got used to it. Stiffed legged deadlifts don't take up too much energy, so it isn't a stretch to do both squats and deadlifts.

The answer is in the lift's name.

Dead lifts touch the ground. The weight is supposed to rest dead on the ground.

Now,there are many variations, but the basic deadlift touches the ground

ANd they do not work the same muscles, deadlifts are more along the hamstrings/back area, squats target the quads a little more.
