Question about sex

I have read several threads here, and I think I may be getting my priorities confused on maintaining ejaculatory control.

I've read that some guys (actually a LOT of guys) masturbate prior to sex because going at it with the first load is a bad idea (waiting for the 2nd erection)

I've also read about guys doing Kegel exercises to help with ejaculatory control. I thought these were for stronger erections. Again, I may be confused.

My question to you all is are you able to maintain control by masturbating first, or can you just start having sex and you don't prematurely ejaculate? If the latter, can you do this with/without a condom?

This girl I've been having sex with recently told me that I should masturbate the build up my endurance. I was like WTF. Her mentioning that made think of this website again.

I'll ask other questions later so this doesn't get too long.

If you're not in a rush to be done, then i don't recommend even bothering with this. Meaning, allocate a few hours to having sex with your girl if its going to be a new thing for the both of you. That way you'll have time for 3, 4, and 5 or more times, so by then who cares if you were quick on the first one.

After you learn how to do this, you'll see actually doing this long-term to build endurance is only for the really dedicated. Unless you have diagnosed premature ejaculation, i wouldn't bother.

Sure, you can increase endurance this way for the time you do it with her, but why waste the best feeling time for you while alone. Don't worry so much about being too quick, and you're at least half way there to solving this problem.

If you stop right before you ejaculate, rest, then bring it to that point again, that sort of technique is supposed to help you improve endurance and it might actually be worth trying over the long term. But again, i don't recommend masturbating before being with your woman. By doing so, you're zapping some of your sexual energy before you're even with her.

Azanon, I want to first say that I appreciate your response. I know these types of threads are common, and it's typical to get trollish type responses. Thanks

I haven't been diagnosed, but I think I may have it. Some times I go fairly quick - other times it's a little longer. It's never for any decent time though. I do wonder if I am doing it right though. The way that I think you're supposed to do them is so that your butt cheeks feel tighter (the interior side). I find it easier to do standing than sitting and I notice that I don't breathe as normally because I'm so focused on trying to do them correctly. Any suggestions?

I'll try to keep that in mind.

Thanks. I take it that doing Kegels helps when I stop before I ejaculate?

I am still curious if sex without a condom is a significant factor in determining if one is a PE or not. I'm trying to get her more interested in getting me back to using them so I can see if condoms do make a significant difference. If so, then I probably wouldn't feel so bad. If not, then I know there are some things I need to work on.

No, Kegels will increase endurance too, they're just a PITA to do them. You can do them right now (stop pee flow), and hold for a few seconds. Notice how that isnt very fun to do. Now do 10 reps of 3 sets and tell me if you think that really sucks.

try google though donwon - if your question is pretty general, like most of yours are, then there's a wealth of info already out there.
