Question about Online Dating

Hey Guys,
I've NEVER tried online dating but have finally had it with all the flakes in my area. My concern is that I live in a small town and really don't want all my neighboors to know I joined one. Can anyone here recommend one that is set up so I DON'T have to give any info regarding where I live or who I am? Maybe set one of the fields well off my area, say 50 miles away with the thought that anyone who's nosing around would never think of loking 50 miles from my hometown?

I realize that would leave out a certain amount of women in my locality, so be it. Does anyone else have anxieties about this? Does that "He's desperate" stigma still apply? I'm just a 60 hour a week workaholic whos had it with area women and don't have the time to go out looking all the time. Thanks!!

Well.. this type of anxiety is common when you first try it. After a while you realize what the heck if sombody saw me online, that means that sombody is teh same boat with me: dating online.
So it is actually not a big deal.

What you can do.. is to look at lavalife.com: you can post pics but leave them hiddedn. When you contact sombody you will send her a permission to see your pics. Very simple idea.
But I personally find lavalife a bit pricy: you gotta pay $1.8 to communicate with a girl.

My first impression is that you are looking for a pie in the sky. What is the matter with the women in your locality? Are your expectations realist? Why don't you want to specify your hometown? If you want to remain anonymous at the beginning use a nickname.

Why do you care what your hick neighbors think? Doesn't even matter.

Heck, use Hotornot.com. I find that's the best online dating site. You get pictures and thats it. No crap, no huge profile. Just a pic and a yes/no.
