If trying to shape up the midsection while still making muscle gains, should you do cardio sessions right after your weight sessions? I've heard positives and negative of doing this and am not sure about it. Also, how many cardio sessions a week should I do before my muscle gains are compromised?

Also, what should I eat for carbohydrates post-workout?

This is also good info on Post workout nutrition - http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=81505

For carbohydrates you want to have a quick dextrose (carb) drink .

A very good cheap product would be 'Carbogain'. Look it up on Amazon.com. Pretty tasteless, mixes great with whey.

Low intense cardio is fine as long as you have your protein/carb drink. As explained in WBA's fatloss while gaining muscle thread.

I remember Alex saying to take the pwo drink after the cardio session if you're doing it after lifting.

I'm not sure how you could burn fat doing cardio when you just ingested a bunch of sugar.

Also I'd like to add that you'd be better off doing the cardio after your carb-cutoff meal. i believe Alex said that is a good time to burn fat
