Pushups/Situps continuously or in segments

Hey guys,

I was wondering about pushups and situps. Say I was to do 4x20 situps. Would it make a difference if I did 4x20 all in one go, or do 1x20 every 10 minutes, or do 1x20 every hour, etc etc.

Also, does anyone know if doing pushups/situps right after you run burn more fat? (I know pushups/situps aren't the most effective way to exercise, but I want to do the Navy Seal Workout)

The closer together you group your sets of push ups/sit ups the better you'll get at doing more in one go.

If you spread them out through the day then it will probably take you longer to increase your reps per set.

I'd say stick to 10 mins between sets if you can. You'll get the most benefit.


Not entirely sure about your second question. I don't think it really matters that much if you do them together or not. I'd try doing them straight after at first and see how you get on.
It depends what your main goal is really. Is it to simply burn fat or are do you want to increase your reps of push ups/sit ups?
