Alright so here's the deal. I got a job last week at a grocery store and one of my main responsibilities is pushing in shopping carts from the parking lots. The most I take in at one time is 8 because that is damn heavy for a skinny white boy like myself. Anyway I was just wondering what muscles are worked by all of this pushing. I work from four to eight hour shifts so it does get a bit tiring. I just can't seem to determine which muscles are the sorest. I'm thinking it's probably the legs, just don't know if it's calves, quads, or hamstrings. Any ideas? Oh yea and I'm trying to bulk so how can I get the most mass with this 20 hours a week of pushing carts, which I'm presuming is essentially cardio. I weighed myself this morning and it seems I lost a pound or two dammit. I'm just hoping that what I lost was fat probably? Thanks in advance.

if you get plenty of protein, then it was fat, else muscle+fat.

No offence dude, but you have A LOT to learn. Pushing trolley carts all day isnt going to give you huge legs. Read the bulk thread up the top, and read it and educate yourself. Pushy carts isnt approiate excercise.

I am completely aware that pushing carts isn't for bulking. That's why I'm asking how I can continue bulking with this additional several hours of cardio per week. I wanted to know if perhaps I should go easy on some muscles while working out because of all the stress I am potentially putting them through with the carts.

The job's actually been ok so far, but thats mainly because I haven't worked when it was raining yet. I think it'll actually be pretty fun in the summer because I get to be out in the sun all day when everyone else is stuck indoors.
