Could I get any bigger just doing sit-ups and push-ups and lifting weights up to 35 lbs. I'm really skinny 95 lbs. and real short 5'2. And how do you know if you have done enough reps on lifting...when you can't lift anymore without having to cheat?

The main thing is DIET

push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups on the like will help put on some muscle (up to a certain point),

but if you're eating like a skinny guy, ur gonna stay skinny

Listen to THE_ADDMAN and go tell your parents they're gunna have to spend a little more on food in 2007.

You need to read up on caloriess, protein/carb/fat requirements for bodybuilding and then follow a good program.

I'm probably the only person here that can relate to you. Was 5'11 103 lbs I think when I was 15. You can search for 'Bling's Workout Journal'. I'm up to 5'11 120-127 lb range at 16 and a half.

Sorry dude, you're getting nowhere near big without a gym. I bet you could add 10 lbs in the next year from pushups, dips, situps, pullups, but you're not going to get anywhere.

Anyway, the real secret is diet - specifically protein. Something weird happened this year. I simply replaced my usual pizza or just junk with a simple chickenburger at lunch, I made sure I had my whey everyday, had milk at night with carnation stir, and made sure to eat all my proteins before everything else. I've gained some nice weight since August. I also replaced CocaCola with water. Boost your calorie intake, replace sugars with complex carbs and more protein and you'll firm up and gain some weight. You won't gain anything like you'd like, but you'll look better than you have.

I'd suggest you wait on Creatine till 17-18. Right now it's fine, but who knows what we learn in the future. Also Creatine works incredible - if you have that base foundation already. You're not going to get anything out of creatine if you don't already drink water and up your protein levels.

nah. I can relate. I was about 5'10" and 110/115 at age 15. I'm 19 now and about 6'1" 150. Dude, you can seriously put on 20lbs like that without much time in a gym. Maybe 2 hours a week max for about 6 months will get you 20lbs like it was nothing.

However, sometimes skinnyness (is that a word?) is in your genes and you'll never get big no matter what you do. My grandpa was 5'11" and he never got any bigger than 110lbs throughout his entiiirre life. As a matter of fact, you could probably hurt yourself by trying to get too big. Some people have bone structures that just aren't meant to carry around 170+ lbs of muscle. Food for thought. Good luck.

p.s. Take some weightlifting classes in high school. And take them seriously. Don't fart around like the other guys, seriously get into it and lift.

I was about 90 lbs freshmen year.

Here are some ways to add intensity to your body weight exersices:

Do weighted push ups: Fill your backpack with something heavy (I used books) and put it one when you do push ups.

Do pull ups: Get a pull up bar from your sports store. If you were like me and lived in a apartment where drilling holes in your door way was not allowed, do pull ups on your door. It may seem like your door is gonna break, but it never happened to me. I would put something under the end of my door for support though. I would also put towels on top of my door cuz the top would hurt my hands. Also, when you get good enough, do weighted pull ups (with backpack).

Body weight squats: You can still make these intense by: going all the way down, thighs way below parallel, ass just a few inches off the ground. Your knees should go past your toes, keep spin in nuetral position, and your calves should just bairly touch your hamstring. Try to do 20 as fast as you can.

You might find a way to build a contraption to do dips too. Look around, use your imagination.

In highschool, off of my bodyweight/dumbell exersices, I went from 5'2'' to 5'6'' 80 lbs to 100 lbs. I also did track and feild during this time also. I was still small, but I looked muscular.

don't worry about muscles just yet..i'd say just EAT!!! you're still growing and with the surplus of hormones in your teenage years, add an abundance of calories and the right stimulation for muscle growth..you can become really big if you wanted to.Just eat eat eat! when i was 17 , i gained a ton of weight practicly overnight though it was mostly bulk (fat/muscle) it stll primed my body to be able to hold on weight more so then if i was just thin for all those years. skip the supplements as well, but the weight gainers can come in handy.People might say the high protein ones are better but i think that the pro performance 2200 ones are actually better for younger folks, because too much protein won't be fully digested anyways if your still young,so overall calorie count is much prefered.Just drink it in small portions though unless you really want to gain size...

Yes, but Lou was 6'2 and skinny. Not 5'2 and skinny. Also, I'm sure Lou ate like a man.

In High School I always wanted to be at around 180, but I could never get above 160, and that was up from 145 eating a ton and working out 5 days a week. Finally, after years, literally, of trial and error with protein, diets, creatine, and other ****, I'm at 185 because I stopped worrying about eating healthy and just stuffed myself with every meal. The only thing I avoid eating are empty calories (soda, junk food, fast food). As long as your workout is hardcore enough, you won't be putting on much fat, just shaping your muscles. Remember, PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN. I try to eat most of my carbs in the morning as well, and more protein before I go to sleep.

Pushups, pullups, situps, dips, working on a heavy (punch) bag if you have one, running, are all you need to be in good shape. You want to get big? Start when you're 17ish.

How could you look muscular at 100 lbs!? I know a guy who's 5'6 and 115 lbs, without an ounce of fat, and he litterally looks anorexic, how the fùck could you look muscular!?
