The PUA idolization of women is wrong, but a great deal of what they teach is still objectively good. For example, being ****y and funny is a good characteristic to have. Not only will it help you get women, but it will also help you socialize with other men. Most importantly, once you get comfortable with it, being ****y and funny can be fun.
Personally, I think the C&F stuff is overrated. I mean, yeah, you should have the social skills to be able to playful with people and bust on them without really hurting their feelings. But there used to be a wise poster here, Jophil (RIP), who used to say that C&F should be like seasoning on a dish - you just want a dash of it. You can't just go around spouting C&F statements all day, hoping to attract women, without sounding like a cartoon.
But here, I will say something nice about PUAs: I don't believe in all their techniques by any means, but:
I do think that
sometimes, when you learn to attract women, it can make you a better man. Because sometimes women have a proper image of the male gender role and respond to it, and if you can become that masculine person, then you are playing into your strengths and becoming the man you should have been in the first place, the man that was within you all along.
Sort of like how Atom Smasher liked to recommend guys learn to work with tools. That's a good masculine skill to have, plays to the male gender role, helps you become more independent, and will probably save you money as well. That's not exactly PUA technique, but you get the idea.
