After cutting my weight low for tennis season, I decided about three weeks ago to start a muscle-building routine again, except this time I wanted to bulk "Clean".
I've switched from my bad, carb heavy diet, to one focused much more heavily on protein, - lean meats, eggs, tree nuts, green vegetables, skim milk, oatmeal, fruits and berries, etc. I admit to ingesting lots of sugar in the past.
I feel like I'm eating all the time, and I'm also farting a ton now which is unpleasant, but if anything, I feel like I"m going to lose weight if i keep this up. What gives? Am I going to have to eat dirty a bit just to gain the weight? Yeah, I know I'm almost middle aged so that probably isn't helping. My starting weight was 164, and I'm still 164ish. The last time I tried bulking dirty, I gained the weight no problem, but my bf% went up several percent too.
