You all must know my story in regard to a certain girl at the moment! Anyway i was asking a female friend what i should do or say to the girl i liked, and she replied saying:

"Just tell her how you feel, I sure she'll understand!"

Typical eh?!

Very typical. Good thing you haven't learned this the hard way.

I work with a married 9.0 who gives the worst advice in the world, and she loves advising me on my relationships.

A year and a half ago I got LJBFed after this woman told me to spill my guts to the girl I was after.

Sometimes this woman is useful to find out what a woman may be thinking or feeling, but I'll never be burned by her advice again. These days she tells me how I shouldn't play games and how much she hates people who play games. Yeah, sure.

Why you even thinking or discussing this girl with your friends? You're wasting your time.

The patient is coming down with symptons of oneitis;)

But yes, the advice sucks, don't ever tell a girl how you feel, particularly one you hardly know. If she wanted to know how you feel she'd ask you!!

If the situation has come down to the point where you think you have to volunteer how you feel in order to salvage the relationship - then the relationship wasn't going to make it anyway. If girls like you, they wonder, and ask how you feel. Then you can tell them if you want. If they don't ask, and the relationship isn't going th eway it's supposed to - telling her how you feel isn't going to fix that IF you're being obvious enough with your actions.

It's worth mentioning that I almost always tell I girl that I like her during the first conversation - or the first date. I want to show her that I'm being open and honest with her, and she should do the same. It's not a sappy "I dream about you every night" deal. It's just "Hey I really like you, you're beautiful AND intellegent, a rare mix nowa' days."

As far as girls giving advice, it could go either way. Some girls give terrible "spill your guts" type of advice, while others tell you to play games. But there ARE some that give good advice, some even better than the men on this board. You just have to keep your eyes open.

Actually, my ex Emma and my flatmate Claire are honest with themselves about the seduction game - they generally give quite good DJ advice. They like to play mind games.
But then my brother's GF says stuff like "call her the same day and make her feel special".

Like blitz said, be wary and you'll know if the advice is good or bad :)

No WAY would i take advice like that off a girl... or anyone for that matter! I know enough DJ rules to know better.

Honestly though guys ive a severe case of one-itis at the moment, all my energy is gone and i just cant concentrate on anything! Ive planned it so that ill be out every evening this week with my mates - that only helps temporarily though.

Id love to know why this girl is ignoring me all of a sudden though! Like, would a hello be really that hard? Is she just immature?

Look up my previous posts for the whole story

Before you ask a women for advice look at the their personality and their relationship type. If she's a "Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan" girl, then the advice they give is going to be ****.

Well, go ahead and flame but not necessarily. Meg Ryan I hear has wised up. LOL.;) Take every bit of advice with a grain of salt. Why generalize. Indeed.
