Hey ya'll,
Project Vancouver, a group of highly motivated and extremely social individuals, is looking for a new roommate as early as possible (early May or sooner). Patrick is moving out and Lucas is going back to Australia.
There was 7 of us living here, now there's currently 5.
Rent is $3500/month, not including hydro/gas/internet. With everything, split evenly, it comes to roughly $550-600/month to live here.
Our house is right in the heart of Kitsilano (West 8th Avenue & Vine St). Kitsilano beach is a 7 minute walk (I walk down there everyday), and the busy West 4th Avenue is a 2 minute walk, with access to a ton of restaurants and cool stores and shops. IGA (grocery store), London Drugs, Fitness World are all 2 minutes walking distance on Broadway. Downtown is a 7 minute car drive.
I'll give a brief summary and description of what we're about and what goes on at our house.
- Every week we have a house meeting to discuss house matters, cleanliness, house maintanence and improvements, etc... as well as go over each other's goals and set new ones for each week. Everyone is required to set goals for themselves and achieve them every week, and if not then are fined $20 (this is a way of holding ourselves accountable)
- The house accumilates $$, and the $$ goes towards improving the house and making it better. There are also fines if people aren't clean or leave out messes.
- We host a variety of events at our house: house parties every month which have been a major success, public speaking events, and other get togethers and outings.
- We all go out a lot together and hangout and have a lot of fun. It's a great group of guys to learn from, and I've personally improved so much living with a bunch of naturals
- We share books, knowledge, information, resources, and really contribute and help each other out. We're a support circle. Anything one is dealing with, the other is there for support and to listen
- We're all health freaks and hold to each other to a very high standard in not just health, but all areas of life. We have wheat grass delivered to our door weekly, are all physically fit and active, have installed a reverse-osmosis tap in our kitchen, etc..
I probably missed out a few things, but these are the highlights. We're looking for people who are motivated, achievers, positive, fun & upbeat, open & willing to learn & become better, social & outgoingm, and have something they can contribute to the house.
Our lease at our current house expires at the end of June, and it's month to month from there. We currently have an agent looking for another big house for us in Kitsilano, so we'll eventually be moving within the next few months.
This is an amazing opportunity for anyone that wants to completely change their lives in a heartbeat, or take it to the next level. Everyone that has lived with us has benefitted from the environment we've created in a major way, and it has easily been one of the best decisions of my life.
If you're interested, send me a PM with a paragraph or two about yourself, why you'd like to move in, and how you feel you could contribute. We'll be interviewing people soon!!
