Hey,
First off let me say that I usually post in the High School forum (I'm 17-turning 18 in a few months), but I figured that this post and the responses I am looking for would be better suited for this forum.
Anyways, an update first on my progress. I have really noticed a new sense of mindset with me this Summer. A few weeks ago, I went to this teen night club I go to again and finally broke through a wall I hadn't been previously been getting past: Going up to girls and grinding with them without even asking. Get rejected (1 out of 3-4 times or less), I just brush it off and move on. That time and the time or two after that, I really had an ego boost as I was finally confident enough to (and I did) grind with any single hot chick in this club.
Now, the last time I went, I decided I wanted to try for a kiss-close or a number-close. Every time I grinded, it just kinda ended at the song. I found it a bit awkward to talk in the middle of the dance floor as a new dancing song was either already on and/or I was having to yell over the music. I didn't do either close that night, but tonight I went again.
It felt a bit different for me tonight. The way I and my friend I went with walked in, it was like "Yeah, we've done this before-we know what to do." While I know that is a great attitude to have, I didn't dance with as many girls, because since I had grinded so much previously before, I was really wanting to focus on number-closes (I haven't fully gotten a number by myself before I believe). So, I grinded with a couple of girls early on in the night and while the second looked at me with a smile after we grinded for a song, I just said, "See you around." and walked away (I didn't really want to go for her number anyways, but practice would have been good). After hanging around a bit more, I danced with another chick, but I didn't even want her number because she didn't seem to grind that great at all.
Realizing how much I really needed to try something, when the last song came on before I decided to leave, I went up and instantly started grinding with this pretty hot chick. When I was, I felt her cell phone in her pocket and was able to slide it out and enter my first name, "Someone800" and my cell number in her contacts list. A few seconds after we stoped dancing, I handed her cell to her and walked away (all without saying a word the entire time). I realize this may not have been the best way to go about that (plus she might not even call me, I just put my first name in there), but I had to do something before I left.
Also, another thing I should point out, is the last time I and my friend went to the club, we went straight to the pool tables and played a game of pool (went there like we owned the place) before a lot of people started dancing. A moment after we got there, a couple of hot girls came over and started talking with us. We talked a bunch and talked about dancing later (it was their first time there), let them play some pool with us, etc. However, later, one or two of their guy-friends showed up and they stayed with them for the night.
Tonight, my friend and I went straight for the pool tables again, and again, a couple of hot girls came and introduced theirselves to us. We chated for a bit and then said we'd dance with them later. I should point out that a few hours later, I saw the couple and I was walking around and went up to them and said, "Hey have I seen you earlier?". They seemed confused and said, "No" at which point I paused and walked away.
So, the new challenges (the point where you (please
) help me):
How do I go for a kiss-close or number-close? Most, if not all of my approaches are me going onto the dance floor, finding some hot chick, and grinding with her. Depending on how good she is, it can get pretty intense, but that's about it. I have tried spinning girls around before so we are facing each other (for a kiss-close), but they always seem to be pretty firm.
Also, outside the club. How and where would I go for approaches? A goal for me this summer is to improve myself to the point with girls that I don't have to worry about it in my Senior year.
I should throw out that I lately feel pretty confident about myself and girls. I know I have the desire, but I have never kissed a girl on the lips.....
It's like I got it, but at the same time, don't. Any ideas?
Also, I want to mention that the other night, I and one of my friends were at Wal-Mart and came across a dog-tag maker. We had a great idea, and I made a dog tag that says:
I had it on my key ring, but I realized not many people see it, so tonight, I bought a cheap, thin/small gold-colored chain and put it on that and now I am able to wear it so people see it. The thing is though, I am full-out white...am I still able to socially wear it and stuff?
So, based on this thread, any advice on how to totally improve this summer?
