Yeah, I've got an IPhone 14 Pro Max which has an unbelievable camera. I could just get cool photos whilst travelling (whilst looking good ofc). The pro pics might be a bit redundant.
The difference is this; with your own cameras you might take selfies or your friends might take pictures of you here and there.. in casual situations or w.e.. But when you take professional photos.. you usually like bring out some of your best looks/outfits, prepare for it, you might choose some dope backdrops or settings to take photos and the lens's on those cameras are way bette rthan phone lens so you get more of a sense of depth. + like someone else mentioned, photography is alot more about angles and lighting and sht than just taking pics on your phone lol

Regardless man, its more about just having good images, and the context of the image.

Most dudes have a great photo, but their picture they look like they have NO personality. I mean sht even a goofy/funny face shows more personality tahn a guy looking stoic like hes posing for a Linked In photo.. Girls pay attention to sht like that. If you have no photos with cool friends in them, but you have a buncha professional photos, guess waht, your profile is still not going to look that attractive.

As a guy, I recommend having photos that show off masculine qualities in you.. A photo enjoying a cigar in what looks like a nice setting that resembles a bit of status or something is more powerful than you standing by yourself with some mountains behind you. UNLESS, that photo of you standing with mountains behind you is shirtless but with a backpack to show you're hiking or something.

I use a photo of me holding a fish on a dock (i dont even fish and dont know how to ) but i purposly made a picture like that to show off my physque without being douchey. Girls hate when guys flex for the camera , especially at th egym. To them its super cringe.. as if a woman was purposely bending over to show u her cleavage in a pic. its just like begging for attention

If you hav enice wrists/forarm..you can have a pic where you're grabbing onto something showing off those forearm muscles/vascular arms.. with rolled up sleeves. this can be you on a dirt bike, a motorcycle an atv.. this can be you pickin something up or holding a baseball bat like you're about to swing it... as long as it makes sense, women notice these subtle things that turn them on.. like nice strong wrists/arms taht are vascular.

Masculine qualities turn on womne jus like feminine **** like nice legs and a skirt turn on men.

I mean ... if you even read ANY articles about how to have a profile that stands out, majority of people recommend professional or high quality photos. Most phones these days have 4 cameras and are amazing quality.. so if you have a phone like that, you might not need professional photos. Otherwise, yes opt for them.
I'm a professional photographer, there is a difference between a phone and a real camera (depth of field, etc) but yes phones can make good pictures, the most important part is the post production which gives "life" to the picture (color grading and some minor corrections). I take my pictures myself so I have control on my "image", it's not a pleasant process though but it's worth doing especially for OLD.

On the one hand you'll separate yourself from all the other guys by getting professional photos taken. You can also use them for linkedin or some similar purpose (more worthwhile imo). Issue I see is the market your targeting- if it's women of the age that like posting silly bathroom pics, the Profesional photos may be seen as overcompensating. In other words trying too hard and this will have opposite effect.

I would think a high quality photo would instead be of some kind of activity. You want to convey you're fun and interesting first and foremost.

This is a very unqualified opinion tho. I know nothing about old having never used except for tinder a mere couple hours.
The best is to use 2-3 pro pics and 2-3 regular pics (fun and quality pics but not pro)

No woman of any real worth is going to give a flying monkeys about wether your photos are professional or not

You don't need a professional photo to be attached to someone

All you will attract is super picky and unrealistic women who are looking for a certain type of man to fit into her own fake lifestyle

Apps in general are a terrible way to meet people and often conclude to absolutely nothing

Have extremely low expectations and invest as little as possible

I’ve had success with phone pics, not sure paying for a professional is worth it. Never heard do anyone irl doing this.

If you’re average or below in looks, you need to maximise what you can so might be worth it. But then again, if you’re an average looking man, OLD isn’t for you and cold/warm approach irl is going to be the way you get hot women.
