I don't know if it's worth celebrating, but the six month mark is important. At six months couples usually fish or cut bait. In other words, if things are going well at that mark, the chances are better (not great) that they may be able to make things work in the long run. On the other hand, if the relationship is painful to either of them at that point, it is probably eminent that they will end things pretty soon.
