Prepping food in advance

Hey all,

As title suggests, whats the most simple/cheapest way to prep food in advance? say 3-4 days worth.

I'm talking protein, carbs and fibers.
Things are getting hectic and I can't find the time to cook every meal.
Tried mince beef for awhile, but when every meal is mince, rice/random vege's. :cuss:

A lot of healthy foods can be cooked in the microwave: eggs, oatmeal, potatoes, rice and veggies. Tuna can be prepared rather quicky and effortlessly. I occasionally have to prepare two days worth of food in advance and chicken and ground beef are my go tos. Protein shakes are another good option.

Honestly, though, I try to avoid cooking in bulk; the food just doesn't taste as good. I've gotten to where I can cook a pound of chicken in about 15 minutes. It takes more time to eat it than it does to prepare.

Just bake 10-20 chicken breast in the oven, prepare some rice with some indian curry sauce, and steam a few heads of broccoli.

Then portion it in tupperware and put 3 days in the fridge and 1 in the freezer. Get it out of the freezer and into the fridge 48 hours before eating.

found a recipe for tomato rice on youtube. will make some of that, and bake some chicken breasts and tupperware that ****.

how do u bake ur chicken?

I soak walnuts, almonds, cashews, and peanuts in water the night before the day i want to eat them. It easier for your body to digest when you eat them. Then just throw them in oatmeal the next day, or just eat them as a snack. I always have a lot of fruit around the house too. Soak beans/rice the night before too. Im vegetarian so its what ive found to be good with my workout plan. Another thing i do is use my juicer after workout, ie, i can drink 10 carrots, a pepper, and an apple, whereas it would take a half hour to do the same thing without a juicer, and throw some soy protein and your good. Speggheti/tofu/garlic/onion is good too. Salads are good way to bring in veggies, just lay low on the dressing, or just use some good olive oil. Just discovered avacado recently.. mmm.

except dried foods are expensive as !@$#%.
I agree though, they taste awesome.
