Okay, I admit it, I plan on calling this chick today this evening to see if she will join me for coffee tomorrow evening. Simple enough, but Im still nervous about doing so. Or maybe Im just anxious. Or both.

Anyone still get like this? I know, its just a damn phone call for coffee and chat...

Well concidering your 29, that's something you should worry about. It's just a phone call. She'll probally even flake on ya.

Yeah. Real nice help there, Bvbidd
I just had a strange epiphany (alright, it was just a brain-fart) about phone calls and coffee dates, to me it seems that a phone call to someone who you know kinda well (you've at least had face-to-face rapport) a bit overkill. It's just coffee, not a dinner date. Why not ask her in person, just casual y'know?

The telephone thing seems like it would be for making less off the cuff type plans, things a bit more weighty than just coffee. Maybe that's why it seems kinda strange to phone for something as simple as coffee. Does that make any sense?

Actualy it does make sense.
If she is still working there, I should see her tomorrow when I go in. Then I can ask her early in the day if she would like to join me for some starbucks and conversation after our shift.

Instead of me calling tonight and asking for tomorrow and I end up seeing her at work all day tomorrow too.

If she is not there, I can give her a call in the after noon and see if she wants to meet up after I am off

I used to get nervous when calling the 1st time, just try to be detached, she's not even a part of your life yet, at all. Be nonchalant, don't pick a specific time to call. Just feel the vibe, whip open the phone and roll with it.
